John's hobbies included traveling to National MX events, camping, fishing, hunting, vacationing and Watching all types of competitive racing, car shows.

His favourite quote was: "Ain't nothing to it...........but to do it!!!"
John's first off-road game played, was Ivan Stewarts Off-Road Racing for old Nintendo home system and in the arcade with 3 steering wheels on it for multiplayer!

When online racing John loved tracks by Yeastmans, Spazmonstrs, Worlds, Team Deaths, Zoon's, DBK's Dream World and Zoon and his favorite trucks are his YZ and the TEAM OLD trucks by Mikey & Nick.

Johns involvement with MTM began when he downloaded and had played the demo for about 3 months, then purchased the retail version and discovered the zone online.  For about 6 months, he downloaded tracks and lurked in the zone.  Although it was fun, something was missing.  It was just too hard to find a good game and he spent more time arranging games and waiting than playing.
He had met a few cool people along the way, but never stayed in touch with them.  He never got to play most of the add-on pods that he had, other than against the compuer trucks.
After seeing that people were signing in under all teams of all names, he decided to check out some of the other Team sites. Some sites, while mentioning their members, never said much about them.  He came to find out, somewhat to his surprise, that he was not the only 30 something person who spent A LOT of time playing this game.

He really liked the game and some of the add-on tracks and started finding out more about the people making the tracks, and came to appreciate the fact that these guys were spending a lot of time building these tracks for the enjoyment of us all.  Without all those track and truck makers our game would not be what it is today.

The idea to start a team was taking shape in his mind, he first thought about a Florida racing league, but never found much interest in that. Now knowing that there were a lot of older guys playing, he took the OLD idea and began to put it together.
Team OLD is the result of all this.

Team OLD had a website... Unfortunately much team information was lost during one move to drive.to/old. John put back as much information as was possible and that original site still stands to this day.  Click HERE to visit that site.  John loved this game and the comradship of the many members that have joined Team Old over the years.

John has long since retired from the game, but you never know what the future will hold....
